Re: Would you loan money to a friend or family member?

I never loan money.  I give it.  If the person returns it that is ok, but I never expect to see the money again.

Re: Would you loan money to a friend or family member?

It depends on so many factors. One, I would never lend someone money if I knew I couldn't afford to lose it and never see it again.

It would also depend on the person. If I knew they had a problem with drugs, alcohol or gambling, then no, I would never lend them the money.

If it was someone who had always shown they were irresponsible with money and could have afforded whatever they were borrowing for had they been more responsible then no, I wouldn't lend it. I refuse to lend people money if they could have made it themselves but spend their money foolishly.

If it was someone who didn't have any of those problems but was just in a bad situation, I would just gift it to them.
