I would enjoy the riches that came along with it but not the debauchery

me too! And I used to do a bit of acting.  I could never have stood up to the pressure of a Royal Wedding.  It is a lot of pressure, and stress. Seems like people are always asking for better or for more.  I wouldnt mind the charity part of it, visiting homes, that kind of thing.  But not the spotlight part, always having to be prepared and groomed to the nines.  Seems like it takes half their time selecting wardrobe.  Omg, where do they keep all the hats.?  Lol.  I am to bohemian .  Going barefoot to get the paper, throwing my hair up in a clip.  Lol. I am no Royal subject!

No way would I ever want to marry into that life....no privacy, photographers everywhere...and too many "rules"....hope Meghan enjoys her new life; it will be helpful if Kate takes her under her wing.....Kate showed the right amount of deference to HRH which brought her into the welcoming arms of the royals right away; I hope the same happens to Meghan.

Will and Cate attended college together so that is how they met.  Harry and Meghan met on a blind date and it was a hit.  The rest is history.  As far as me, I am to old to date a Prince.   I love seeing the good the new generation of Royals participate in to better the world.

Re: Would you date a British Prince?

I lived in London for a year & a half from 1969 to 1971. It is such a huge city. The amount of people who live there is just overwhelming. I was so homesick I used to get a bus and go to the American Embassy  just to see the American flag and talk to the marines who guard the place.I got to know them so well they started to invite us out with their families.

We lived in many cities when I was married to my first husband but the one I hated most was London and second was Paris. Growing up in Pittsburgh had not prepared me at all for those cities. Also, when we were in London we lived with my FIL on the east side. It was a poor area, by the docks, and was still not completely recovered from the blitz. My FIL's house had bullet holes across the back where it had been strafed by the Germans. I thought Paris was unfriendly and dirty. But that was almost 50 years ago, and Paris too , at that time , had not completely recovered from WW11.

Before my first marriage I dated a guy whose family own Mellon Bank. That was as close as I ever came to wealth & notarity.

Re: Would you date a British Prince?

I am sure it's a dream come true for Meghan--it would be for any girl. It's interesting though, when Lady Diana came on the scene, I remember thinking I'd love to be her--married to a prince, beautiful clothes, tiaras, jewels, etc. At the end of her life, however, when she was constantly  followed & harassed by the paparazzi ultimately to her death & having no privacy--I remember thinking I wouldn't want to be in her shoes for anything. I fear this will happen to Meghan. The paparazzi will harass her just like they did Diana. They are vultures.
