I agree with @KaySD . I can't make others be honest about this, but they should be forthcoming so I can make choices that are right for me.
Well, there's the "should" of a perfect world, and the reality of the real world.

So that person told HR and is still working?
The company needs to sanitize the work area and also contact anybody that person came in contact with.
I would contact the person's supervisor and report that HR is not complying with safe regulations by allowing someone who is Covid positive to continue working and not notifying other employees that someone they may have come in contact with is covid positive.
I would go so far as to call the health department. There are protocols in place that an office/business is supposed to follow in the event someone tests positive. This just happened at a relatives large company. They closed for 1 day to sanitize the entire building they are in.
And yes I would be livid. I thought I was in a similar situation over the weekend when I found out a friend's son was diagnosed and he jokingly said he had been around his son a couple of days ago. Real funny.

Even if one of more of her co-workers got sick, how would they prove that it was "Linda" who made them sick?
You wouldn't.

And there's the moral relativism of the world where people don't do the right thing unless someone passes a law to make them do it.

I would not look kindly on someone who tests positive, doesn't tell anyone, and continues to come in to work.
Deceitful and potentially dangerous.
Money over People's health doesn't cut it. Not to me it doesn't.

@Lipstickdiva Yes, I'm sure the Health Department would be interested in this information.

You are kinder than I am @QueenDanceALot . I would call someone who knowingly is a vector for a deadly disease and disregards other's health and safety, morally bankrupt.

@Bri369 @Lipstickdiva Health Department has been informed.

I wonder if it could be considered an OSHA violation?

No. The studies show asymptomatic people don't really spread the disease.
