No, I've seen shows where they make the people do stupid things. Not for me. I don't think I could be put under, anyway.

I don't know that I believe in it, but I would do it to find out. Although I think I wouldn't be a great candidate. I have tried to meditate and I have trouble concentrating and have only been able to do it a few times..lol.

Re: Would you be a participant in a hypnotists show if you had the chance?

I did it last night!!!! They said type B people are hypnotized easier and I'm a type A. They started off with 22 people. He said some wouldn't be able to be hypnotized. I was out for a little bit, but woke up when the audience clapped and he couldn't get me back under. So I went to my seat. DH said about 10 before me when to their seats. The audience gave each person applause as they sat down and the applause woke me up. I didn't really know what woke me up. I told DH it was either laughing or clapping, I couldn't remember.

It was really fun. For most of the show they had about 10 people up there. The others either didn't go under or they woke up. I truly think only about 3 were out for the whole show. I think people woke up as the show went on, but they were faking they were still under.

It was a cute show, nothing out of line. I'm glad I did it. I didn't do anything dumb because I woke up at the first of the show.

Oh, once you are up there you totally forget you are in front of people. I didn't give it a thought once he started talking and telling us what to do. It was like I was the only one up there. It was weird. There were about 500 in the audience and I knew some of them, so I was brave!!! LOL

They are going to email each participant a copy of the entire show. I can't wait to see it again.

I didn't do anything. About 10 or so weren't hypnotized. As they had each person leave the stage one at a time that wasn't "under" the audience would clap for them. DH said on about the 8th or 9th one they clapped for I woke up. I told him I knew something woke me up, either clapping or laughing. He said they had clapped for several people leaving the stage and was sound asleep until I woke up on the 8th or 9th person. The hypnotist tried to get me under again by pulling my hand and it didn't work. It worked the first time.

I at least got to watch the show. For me it was like dozing off while a tv show is on and when you wake up, you don't know if you were asleep or not. So I didn't really know until later DH was telling me that as each person went off the stage they clapped. I don't recall any of that. DH said he also told his crew to turn the music up or down several times and I didn't hear any of that either.

The funniest and most real thing that happened is that he told them they were watching the saddest movie ever. Some woman was sobbing and crying so hard she had to keep wiping her tears. It was very real. She couldn't have cried like that unless she was really a good actress.

He also told one man he was having a baby. He laid on the floor with his legs straddled and was pushing and turning red in the face. The hyp. took a shoe off one of the ladies that was "under" and handed it to the man having the baby and told him it was his baby and to nurse it. He was nursing shoe. LOL

It was actually a blast. I for sure stepped out of my comfort zone, but loved it.
