Re: Would Beer Be An Acceptable Holiday Gift to Give?

Ok ... If I get started right now, I should be able to have enough caps to make that wreath this weekend. Wink {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I would do a gift bag; much easier. We have a Secret Santa at work on Tuesday, and I plan to buy a 12-pack of beer for my gift. This is the 3rd year in a row that I've given beer and it's always the most popular. As you know, with Secret Santa gifts, you don't keep your gift for too long if someone else wants it, so the beer gets chosen by just about everyone and who knows who will end up with it. Smile

I'd never heard of that. I had to look it up. Wiki says "thieving Secret Santa" is a thing. I had no idea. We've never done it like that, we just do it the standard way.

(and yes, beer = good/popular choice.)

The good thing, for most of us who are totally NOT creative, is that we are good at following directions. So, somebody else thinks up the cool ideas and all they have to do is show/tell us how to do it and we can do it. Smiley Happy

I'm great at technical and following directions. I'd just never actually think up the great ideas.

I can copy the good idea. But I can never come up with them. LOL

Re: Would Beer Be An Acceptable Holiday Gift to Give?

If they love drinking beer why not save them some money and a trip to pick some up. Most people would rather receive something they enjoy all the time then something that will get thrown in a drawer or a garage sale.

Add some snack foods to the beer with a note saying provisions for the New Year's celebrations or Super Bowl party/game day. They will love it.

It's a great idea for a beer lover. I would include some some snacks, like gourmet pretzels and put the beer and pretzels in a big gift bag. Love, love the antlers on that six pack...
