Re: World Health Organization backs call to avoid ibuprofen for coronavirus

@corita

Tylenol and aspirin are fine, the WHO recommended against Ibuprofen (advil) only, as it seems to make the symptoms of COVID-19 worse.

@KingstonsMom I guess I should google and read more about this.  But it's good to hear that aspirin is fine. I sometimes take Exedrin for Migraine which has acetaminophen and aspirin.  And caffeine.

@SeaMaiden

After the statement made by the WHO when this virus started, I do not trust anything they say. If you don't know what their original statement was? You can easily find it.

Listened to a Disease Specialist asked this question and his reply was this. This applies mainly to those with already compromised Respiratory Systems, not the general population, and the risk is minor. Depending of course on the dosage taken. I haven't been able to take any anti-inflammatory meds since my colon bleeds in 2008, so this does not effect me. Tylenol is the only pain killer I can safely take, for anything.

Being on Coumadin, Tylenol is the only thing I can take. I hope everyone gets the facts to stay safe.

“May” worsen COVID-19.

So to be on tbe safe side of their unproven guess, you “might” want to avoid ibuprofen IF you have COVID-19 symptoms.

For anything else, go ahead and use ibuprofen. It is fine and safe to use.
