We need a cure and a vaccine, that's the bottom line. I have so much more to say about the ways we need to stop discriminating against people with HIV but this isn't the place for it.

Wonderful advancements have been made but they aren't getting to everyone who needs it.  I can tell you for sure, the best minds are working on it.

Yes, at least there is Prep now although it hasn't proven to be without failure and as use expands we could see more resistant strains.

I saw a headline about that maybe two days ago, the possibility of a more resistant strain.  Scary. A family friend lived with HIV for 35 years, volunteering for testing.  He recently died of a brain tumor, unknown if there was a connection.
