Wording in an obituary

I read this in my Sunday paper and thought it might be a reason why a person would want to write their own obituary. It seemed the family was bragging over her wealth and status and I wondered if this is what she would have wanted said upon her passing. Here are a few quotes from the obituary:

"a former straight A student....enjoyed dressing up in St. John....ran errands in her new blue Mercedes C300...on her last day she had her hair and nails done, blowing kisses to the salon staff as she drove away."
