I was kind of hoping she would again. 

Then there are the cardinals who come every day. Anyway I think sometimes people walking by-I hope they don't think I'm a crazy lady saying hi sweetie to anyone who walks by lol!

And I say I love you every day to my neighbor's dog and to my children.

But really on the road or reading the news, there are definitely different words coming out!

Or people in the grocery store that have no awareness of anyone else around them-yes, different words in my head than hi sweetie!

It's funny because I never heard my mother curse at any time except sometimes when driving she had a very choice phrase for another driver. I guess I take after her

How wonderful that a bird had her babies in your chair! I hope she does come back to visit.

I tell my fur daughter every day how "happy" I am that she is here with me. I have loved all my fur children but I am especially close with her as we spend every waking moment together as she came "home" after I retired. My dear little shadow. My world.

@on the bay  Your post make me laugh. As 12 year veteran of Catholic schools, I was about 16 and frustrated with something and said kind of loudly "Judas priest!".  My mom (who swore a lot, (I didn't pick up that habit) told me not to swear. I said "I didn't. I didn't say God or Jesus." She stopped after that and I would do it once in awhile just to annoy her!

Well, we give each other tears your post about your "dear little shadow, your world," brought tears to mine. I think because I do know how special, how unlike any love it is to have that connection with our pets who are like our children, and I love that you have that with yours.

And the mother bird does still come to visit almost every day. Sometimes I see the father with her too. I'm pretty sure I've seen her babies, now grown children (I mean birds) of course

@Marp  The single word I say everyday is grateful. The phrase I say everyday is I love you. I say it to hubs a lot and when I hangup with a friend or cousin on the phone.
