After all this "young" talk, why does Celine Dion always get a pass?

Didn't she meet her future husband when's he was 12? They started a relationship magically when she turned 19.....but that seems coincidental, yes?

Woody never attends / accepts awards.

I believe the only exception is when he attended the 2002 Academy Awards. This was the first Oscars after the 9/11 attack, and they were doing a tribute to NYC.

She meant when Celine was 12. It was a typo. I think you knew that....

Woody's movies are brilliant. The music he uses is inspired.

I think Woody is and has always been creepy. How he and Mia ever got together is a mystery to me.

I do not like Woody Allen on a personal level at all, but I love his movies. I do think he's a brilliant film maker.

Seems like brilliant film makers tend to become perverts....

I've never heard David Lean, Billy Wilder, William Wyler, George Stevens, Stanley Kramer, Francis Ford Coppola, Francois Truffaut called "perverts". It's not a prerequisite and I wouldn't call Woody brilliant. he made a few mysogynistic films that were funny but he's no genius.

Yeah, I can think of lots of brilliant film makers that aren't pervs or pedos, and agree, Woody Allen is quirky but far from brilliant.

Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Martin Scorsese, Steven Soderbergh, Spike Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Kathryn Bigelow, David Cronenberg, Ang Lee, Sofia Coppola, David Lynch.... the list goes on of more worthy film makers than Woody.

Somehow I don't see "his" son (Frank's son) Ronan, having Woody on his new show for an interview anytime soon.

It's okay if we see things differently.

There is an rule that your children are not to become your lovers..... regardless if your children are adopted and not blood relatives. He was wrong, being the adult in the situation-- to not have walked away from it. It goes to show that he was a pervert that chose to do the wrong thing... to have allowed himself to go so far in the situation. He should have gotten mental help, left the home-- whatever he could have done to stir clear of anything happening. BUT he chose to do what is considered sick. Poor Mia to have found this out.... I do not see how she could ever forgive him. I certainly could not! I am not sure what her relationship is with the adopted daughter today.

Soon-Yi was never Woody Allen's child. She was Mia Farrow's adopted daughter and he dated Mia Farrow. He never lived with Mia Farrow although they did have a relationship. He didn't date Soon-Yi until he and Mia parted ways.

As for Dylan, doctor's at the time (I believe both psychiatric and medical) found no proof of any molestation and said the story kept changing. The timing of the accusations was very suspect as it was when Mia and Woody were separating. The courts never took up the case. Sounds like a vindictive woman's revenge to me.

PS: Has anyone seen the photos of Rowan? Sure looks a lot more like Ole Blue Eyes than he does Woody. Wink

Woody Allen is a brilliant man. His films have always been ahead of the curve.

IMO you can look back at them and see that he had a thing for young girls. The fact that he took photos of a young girl he helped raise and then took her away from her mother shows serious problems, worse than being a creep.
