Do I need to add Woodbury to my must-do list while in NYC in October? Still putting our itenirary together.

@OKPrincess It would be quite a ride from New York City...

The bus companies run day trips up there. I see many many shoppers with their wheeling suitcases filled!

They have completed some renovations and made it a bit nicer. My sister goes there every time she comes to my house. I am not a shopper so I can't say about bargains. It does get crowded. The bus trip may be a bit more than an hour. After getting out of NYC it is all highway.

First off, wishing you a very happy, healthy birthday. I love Woodbury Commons. If you like designer items, it's especially wonderful. It's a whole day excursion as it's outdoors and huge. I believe one of the other posters was mentioning there are some different lines made especially for the outlets that are different compared to their regular stores. I have only found this with Chicos. Maybe she visits different stores than I do. I'm sure you've looked at their list of stores online.  I unfortunately have had too much luck shopping there in the past lol. I havent been there for awhile and now youre making me want to go!!!!

NO!!!  It is a distance from NYC.  There are better, more unique things to do in NYC than go to a mall to shop!!!

@kaydee50

It is only 50 miles from NYC, hour to hour and 15 minutes bus trip.

@OKPrincess - Not really. It's pretty much the same as any other outlet (like Tanger outlets). Don't give up a day from your NYC adventure for this. If you want to window shop, take a stroll on Fifth Avenue!

@JBKO - I haven't been in a couple of years, however, be aware that a lot of the merchandise is "made for outlet" stores. And, imo, prices are not that great either.

@OKPrincess do not give up an entire day in NYC to go shopping at this outlet. Too much to see in the city. As with most outlets the items are made for the outlets. Of course you can catch a deal, but so not worth it.

nothing special, I was there a few years ago used to have a donald pinlar store there but closed up a few years back. I would not waste a whole day to go out there.

I don't really care for items created to be sold at outlets. Takes the fun out of finding a great deal.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.
