Received the Nikwax on Monday from Amazon. However decided my down comforter was too large for my washing machine so went to the laundry mat to try this new product. Of course the place was packed! I was tempted to take the down comforter back to the cleaners, as usual. But did not. I waited my turn for a machine and pursued!
Once I had a machine, everything was smooth sailing. The comforter was laundered with Nikwax, then dried. I took it home and let it air dry some more in the 55* sunny day (first day of warm, sunny weather in 2024!) for a couple of hours. It looks and smells wonderful again!
With warmer weather on the horizon, I opted to store it in the linen closet and put a lighter down blanket on my bed which had already been cleaned at the cleaners. (My mind is already thinking Spring!)
Very pleased with the Nikwax, how quick and easy it was to use at the laundromat, and a clean, fresh smell lingering afterward. Nothing too scented or flowery. And, it didn't take forever for the down to dry thoroughly! Thanks for the recommendation, @ciao_bella

@BirkiLady So glad it worked out for you! I loved using it for my daughter's down coat. Her coat had some really dark soiled marks on the cuffs and around the neckline of the coat. Honestly, I was actually thinking it might not be worth the expense to take it to the dry cleaners but, like you, I said what the heck, I'm giving it a try. To my amazement, the coat looks like it was brand new. All the soiled spots on the cuffs and neckline were completely gone... Clean and fresh and looking like it did when she first bought it. Best part, I have plenty left in the bottle for any other jackets/coats/ my son't camping sleeping bag, etc.

Good to know! I also have a down coat, but have not worn it this year. If I wear it in 2024, I'll remember to launder it myself rather than take it to the cleaners, which IIRC was pricey the one winter I did wear it a couple of times.
Have a feeling this could also be used on wool, as well. Haven't tried it yet, but have many wool sweaters that will need to be taken to the cleaners in a couple of weeks. May give a couple of the older ones a test to see how they fare!
Confident I'll ultimately use it up. Not worried about that! Thanks, again.
