Women Who Don't Flush...

The "How Do You Leave Your Hotel Room?" thread got me thinking about one of my pet peeves...

Nasty Ladies Rooms (in public places)

After numerous experiences of walking into stalls where the toilets have NOT been flushed - And I'm talking #1 and #2

...And where there's toilet paper, etc. littering the floors, I have stopped using public restrooms altogether.

I make it a point to "go" before I leave home, and "hold it" until I get home.

Sometimes, it's been so bad, that I (literally) gagged as I went from stall-to-stall in an attempt to find a clean/unused one.

I suppose it's the same idea: Why should I bother or care about who comes behind me?

Am I alone in feeling that this kind of behavior is rude and inconsiderate?

Yes, that does occur and it is disgusting. But I think in a lot of cases. public toilets don't flush properly. Particularly, the automatic ones.

Being filthy either in public or in private is beyond my understanding. Walking into a filthy public restroom is beyond gross. I do not know who these women are or what upbringing created them.

I worked in retail. Women would ask to use the restroom and leave it filthy. I do not understand. We saw them, knew who they were, and they had no self-respect or respect for those of us who had to follow them.

Another Pet Peeve......We just had signs posted i the Women's bathrooms here at work about being considerate after you leave the stall-keeping it clean....

All because there were numerous complaints about people leaving the stalls so nasty and paper all over the floor... unbelievable!!!

I quit using public facilities about 20 years ago. However, I do have to share the ladies room on my floor at work with about 10 other women. Most of us have been working on this floor for 30+ years so that helps. But since our clients come to the floor then it can become "messy."

The worst restrooms I ever saw were in Mexico. Never seen anything like it and nothing here could come close to what I saw there.

I can never, ever understand this. Yes auto toilets sometimes does not flush, but you can manually flush them. I work with some women that own beautiful, half million dollar homes, and some of you don't flush. I just will never get it. I rent, but it is MINE while I occupy it. Why would some be so gross?
