@Jaspersmom wrote:Saw this on our local news here in NY. The woman is an imbecile and the person videotaping isn't much smarter. It was reported here that the woman was escorted out of the zoo, but no one got her name. Now police are looking for her since charges may be brought against her. As someone else said, I'm not a big fan of zoos, but the Bronx Zoo is one of the best in the country and the animals are well cared for. The animal must have already eaten for the day so the woman was pretty lucky she didn't become his lunch. Then again, the look on the lion's face is priceless. It's as if he knows something is amiss and there is no way he's going to risk his life for that idiot.
@Jaspersmom Animals are so much smarter the people e give the credit for . I agree with you the look on his face was truly priceless😺😽

I wish they would quit killing animals for the insanity of human beings. If people want to be lion food, let them, and don’t fault the animals. If they’re mentally ill, force them to get help at that point. Someone who does that should be institutionalized. Leave the innocent animals the heck alone!

People like her are why I always root for the animal. I hate to see anyone hurt or get killed, but when it's due to stupidity it would be hard to feel bad. The animal always suffers.

I saw it on the news, it's bizaree but my assumption is that poor woman has some psychiatric issues.

Somehow this will be the zoo's fault. Because God forbid should people be held accountable for their own actions or take some personal responsibility.

It never occurred to me to consider the woman mentally ill as others have used the phrase; I immediately assumed she was under the influence of a substance or substances.

On the CBS Morning Show they said she posted it on Instagram

That leads me to believe she probably wasn't under the influence or suffering from a mental illness, she was another fool risking her life and the life of a wild animal to get exposure on Instagram and be praised for a cool picture/video.

How does anyone know what either the lion or this stupid woman were thinking. She should be found and charged accordingly, no matter what her excuse!
