I am so sick and tired of stupid people.  There seems to be a bigger bumper crop of them each year.

My solution, "hey lady, you want to feed animals, here is a case of Cheetos. I'm putting you and the Cheetos in the big cat enclosures so you can hand feed them."  Problem sloved.

Of course, I'd check with a vet first to make sure eating stupid wouldn't make the cats sick.

         So I live in the area and this has been big news!!  All locals are upset and want to be sure that she is duly prosecuted!!  Zoo director is furious.  Now the zoo is having to redesign the monkey area so that no other idiot tries the same stunt!!

@Spurt - I had the same reaction as you.  I honestly thought perhaps we should lock all these morons up in a zoo and let everyone gawk at them and throw them junk food (just for fun).

If they're so keen to bypass every barrier and safety device to pull these stunts, they belong in an enclosure from which there's no escape.  Then we can all enjoy their antics from a safe distance.

Sadly, the stupidity and self-centeredness of some people never surprises me.  I do hope the directors of the zoo stick to their intention to prosecute this woman to the fullest extent of the law.  (And I would like to see the laws made even more punitive.)

I read about this on another board when it was news and saw the video.   I worried that they wouldn't identify her, so I'm VERY glad they found out who she is and she's facing prosecution.

It's not like it's a kind of thing where one wouldn't know for sure that it's not  an ok thing to do.   Bad enough to be in there but feeding them that krap should have its own punishment.  Don't get me wrong.  I eat my share of krap (personally, I like the regular crunchy Cheetos ) but I don't give it to non-human animals because I'm not a complete moron.

But, to say that is an insult to monkeys, apes, primates.

So I guess I'll say that some people have taken a wrong turn on the backward evolution road.

Sadly, Rules are made to govern the lowest common denominator, the rest of us loose out because of them.

Now the barriers will be higher, further away from the monkeys 🐵 

to keep the yahoos out, thus limiting enjoyment for those of us who had NO idea of doing anything but looking and enjoying.
