I tuned in for a few minutes when the blender caught my eye. I too did not like that he touched his nose. And they really tried very hard to discredit the Vitamix which I dearly love. So in my case two strikes against him.

I really don't watch much of his presentations anymore but I have to say I didn't notice his nasty kitchen habits as much as his truly coarse and piggish behavior. He usually has Shannon or other female host with him. What grates on my nerves is his "jokes" which often have some kind of s *e *x* u* a* l undertone to them. So crude. Have you ever noticed how the female hosts grimace or have that frozen smile on their faces when he does this? He's also rude and cuts them off and sometimes seems to bark orders at the cameraman.
But what really made me vow to never purchase another thing from him was his awful behavior on the Bravo show Top Chef in 2011. In the middle of tasting a female contestant's food, he makes some very unnecessarily nasty remarks about her dish, picks it up and says, "Can I come and show you how to make a risotto?" It was not done in a kind and helpful way, but in a way that was both humiliating and bullying towards her. Her fellow contestants and even some of the judges looked stunned. Wolfgang had a smirk on his face like he was so amused and pleased with himself. Disgusting. To her credit, this twenty-something woman did not cry and handled herself with poise and dignity. I remember a lot of internet smackdown of Wolfgang over that.
Years ago, I did purchase his first reversible electric grill/griddle which cooked food well but instead of capturing any fat or oil runoff, it leaked so I had to put newspaper under it whenever I used it. Also purchased a rice cooker which cooked okay but I thought was a pain to clean.
Nope, won't ever buy anything from this boorish pig of a man.

@ChazzyLady I love my rice cooker, very easy to clean because the insert comes out and it's coated. Yours didn't have this feature?
No, it wasn't that @JaneMarple, the insert came out. It was the top. It was kinda clunky to remove and reattach as well as the little part that collected condensation, a small square cup. But it did cook just fine. Glad that you are pleased with yours!
Also, his company's customer service was not helpful at all when I tried to get assistance regarding my grill/griddle that would leak grease when in use.
In general though, I just can't patronize a man who behaves in a disrespectful manner, most especially to women.
Take care.

And finger dipping/licking, too. Over and over again. Funny that our family was noticing it today, and one of them said that most likely many chefs do that behind the scenes. Tasting this and that, hopefully with clean spoons/forks. Oh, well.............I'll try to be more positive from now on. Actually, I'm thinking of ordering his newest pressure cooker and the stainless steel optional insert. Lots of great food dishes were shown!
