1. WEATHER CHANGES FOR TEXAS---The summer heat would end here in Texas and we would continue to get much needed rain to end this drought.  Some REAL fall weather would be nice! ☔🍂

2. The animals in all the shelters would find loving homes.🐱🐶. An end to animal abuse.

3. Good health reports for family/friends. ⚕️

1. Being rat-less.  With construction/renovation on my block, and lots of rain this summer, I have at least one.  My cat has "rat-fatigue" for she patrols every night.   (Let's just hope the rat conducts itself in such a manner that it doesn't end up in a headline.)

2. Being roachless.  (See reasons above).

3.  Winning a new stove in Lotto, though I don't think "stove" is one of the prizes.  My 1972 mustard Americana Range, which I actually love, is finally defunct except for two top burners.  I did buy a Smart Oven from Breville, and except for Thanksgiving turkey, it's OK.  I could afford a new range, but would have to rewire the whole house for a new stove--they run on about the same voltage but the amps are a whole other matter. An electrician told me years ago that I would have to rewire the whole house before getting a new stove, because the house would burn down without upping the electricity capacity. (Maybe it was cycles, not amps?)

I stuck to house problems, because they def. fit the criterion of not being in the news. Of course I do have broader hopes and wishes, but most of those are definitely in the news already. On that front, I would wish for more respect shown to teachers and the important work they do.

- Bullies all transformed by aliens and suddenly lose interest in violating anyone's consent

- New gummy vitamin cures all diseases and body issues
