I have heard and read about the SUPER El Nino that is supposed to be the strongest yet that is starting to make its way toward us.
Wet places getting dryer, dryer ones very wet, south gets hit with snow while the north not much--not sure what the PNW is doing---maybe not wet or cold. Weather---go fig!!!

Well call me Goldilocks but I like to feel just right. I hate high heat & humidity but I don't like endless snow, cold and dark gray days.

I'm in New England and I can certainly wait for winter to arrive!  Plowing, shoveling, snowblowing.  Icy roads.

Shorter days, freezing temperatures, high heating bills, ice storms, power outages.

Re: Winter Weather

[ Edited ]

I'm in Texas and eager for this....we had a lot of rain until July, and are now in our usual August inferno. But the meteorologist say we ain't seen nothing yet regarding rain and storms, maybe an artic one---wait until fall/winter and see what El Nino brings ....but we will certainly be done with our drought!!!

@1Snickers

I'm on the southern end of WV and raise your sentiment to OH **** NO!!   I'm retired and love staying home anytime, but don't like the idea of huge snowstorms.

@Kachina624  I saw the title of your thread and excitement set in.

I was hoping for a crazy off season winter storm to roll through Maryland.

I just returned from errands and the humidity and temp is so high I am drenched.

These are the days I would give anything to hang out in the Costco milk refrigerator.

@Mersha.  It. Would be very nice if Mother Nature sent us an early sample right now

@Kachina624   this is probably true. I have heard several times that California will be wet this winter. I enjoy all the seasons here.  However, I do tend to whine when we have the rainy, gray weather too long.

@shoekitty. We, in NM, celebrate gray, rainy days.  I can't even remember the last one. Every day it's unrelenting sunshine.

This El Nino we've had this year and into winter is supposed to be super duper but so far, for us, it's been a

bust.

@1Snickers.  From the look of that chart, you'd better go into training for snow shoveling RIGHT NOW!
