Was there a cash option with that sweepstakes do you know @SeaMaiden

I didn't enter it because I don't have a passport and don't feel like getting one at this time as I'm too busy with other things in RL.

 I just bet there are many people who entered who do not have U. S. passport and not only that, but are not eligible to get one.  

I didn't read the rules but Qvc should have stated up front that you could get a cash option instead of taking the trip. Too bad because now, they may in fact have to go thru a lot of potential winners until they find one to give the prize.

I don't know.  I also don't know if it was a requirement to be a U.S. citizen in order to be awarded the prize.  I was assuming and maybe incorrectly that an entrant needed a U.S. passport to gain entry into the UK when originating from the U.S.

The reason why someone who won the grand price would need a passport is that the grand prize was a trip to London.

They would need a passport from somewhere but not necessarily the US.

of course they would.....but  they would not need to be a citizen of the USA to claim the prize. they could have a passport from anywhere and go OR apply for a passport from their country of birth/citizenship.
