I wanted Emily Ann to win. She won in my opinion.

I think Emily Ann is a good country western singer, but don't think she comes close to Jordan. They are both young and hopefully will have wonderful careers.

This is by far my favorite Christmas song although I don't celebrate the day - and sung by one of the purest voices around - pure gold!

Jordan sang the National Anthem, yesterday, at the outdoor hockey game. He did a really great job without trying to make his own version of it. I think he will have a great career.

And he just got engaged to his girlfriend! Pictures are all over facebook. Adorable.

He got engaged? Boy, his life could not be going any better. Just a year ago he was only dreaming big, studying music and BOOM, his life exploded with great things happening.
I just hope he does not fall off the radar like every other winner. It is not the show, it is Republic Records that the winners are locked into. There are lots of "grumbling articles" written here and there on the internet about Republic Records not doing right by the winners. I always believed that coming in second is almost a blessing.
You don't win money for 2nd, but you retain your freedom to sign under any label that comes calling after all that exposure. You have the freedom to grow as you choose.
Emily will be scooped by the country world. Blake still has a previous contestant singing back up in his own band. Emily will do OK, her only downfall is being 17.
I tuned into the opening of the Bruins game just to see Jordan. I could listen to his voice singing anything. His voice is angelic.
I am happy for him. He was the most humble contestant they have had. You could actually watch the transformation of him as he grew in confidence and self-esteem through the weeks. He came to believe he was more than a singer, that he could really be an 'artist'.
So talented. I wanted to be his parents when he won. They were so proud.

He sang our National Anthem at the NHL Winter Classic outdoor hockey game that was played in Foxboro. Great and very strong voice, with octave raising notes at the end. Goose bumps for many.
