Still buy the product, I don't look to celebs for moral direction, lol.

SO----do we think this person, basically lost her mind, and without provocation, went on this rant?
OR, do we think this person responded (very inappropriately) to a bunch of posts, on her social media site, some of them, I'd bet my retirement fund, every bit as over the top nasty and ugly, as the response?
Sadly, there are a lot of people out there, that genuinely believe; if you're in the public eye, you're fair game. You put yourself out there. You are asking for the ugly, as well as the good. You deserve it! I call total BS!
Its one one thing to say, "Mr Senator, you've lost my respect and my vote, because of your position on this issue", "Ms Actress, I used to be a huge fan of your show. I will no longer watch. Your character is totally unlikeable".
It's another to engage in personal attacks, name calling, ugly, hateful slurs.
No one deserves that, and no one invites it, just because they're in the public eye.
Is is it OK for the celebrity to jump in the mud and sling it around? Of course not, it's ridiculous. And it's not very bright, since, they Don't get to hide behind the anonymity of their computer screen!

Boycott? I won't purchase music by certain artists. I wouldn't call that a boycott.
ITA
I'd not buy from them either. If that's a boycott, so be it.

OP, I finally got a chance to read every post and I think I know who you're talking about ..... but not what the questionable behavior was.
What comes to mind is the indignance and outrage on the boards here when Joan Rivers made some smart a$$ comment about the three young girls from Ohio that were kidnapped and imprisoned for several years. It was a stupid comment and some thought QVC should fire Joan immediately, and others excused the behavior because she was a comedienne and that was what she did.
I think it's difficult for most people to differentiate a celebrity's public personna from who they are in real life. If you don't know them personally, much of it is just guessing.
Hi @Tinkrbl44, Yes I remember that comment Joan made about the kidnapped girls. She was asked to apologize and refused because she said it was a joke. A good number of posters agreed and supported her. I thought it was in poor taste. Her humor wasn't my thing and her clothing and jewelry weren't items I would purchase before her comment anyway.
Reading the comments I see a few who are in essence are saying it doesn't matter what a celebrity does yet were absolutely raging against Fonda appearing on the Q.
I brought this topic up not to point a finger at one celebrity but to really think about the many well known figures have appeared on the Q and were brought down by their public behavior. The painter Kinkade was another.

Most of the celebrities in clothing lines don't design their own clothing they just put their name on it. The so-called celebrity who is trying to sell her line of clothing makes fun of people who are heavy and say terrible things . Why would I want to buy or wear what they're selling? To make them more richer and still unkind. I don't think so.

Well this celebrity got fired from her TV show and the incident is all over google from many sources, I am just now reading.
Hmmm... So I'm guessing what I read was true.
I just googled trying to find a source saying that she'd been fired from RHOBH, but can't find any?
All I found is that by her saying "she had nothing to lose...." on the IG post, that she implied that she was leaving the show, but I can't find a source saying she has left or that she was fired.
I'm not doubting your word on it, but wondered if you could direct me to a source saying this, since I can't seem to find one.
TIA!

I don't buy celebrity clothes. Selling to plus size women and making hateful comments about them definitely turns my stomach.

the big difference here is joan rivers loved, loved, loved her fans. she was a comedienne first and that did upset the sensibilties of some. it never stopped me from buying from her.
other celebs that show disrespect and disdain for their audience i can do without period.
