Just for swearing?
If that's all it's about, no, it would not stop me.

Well...I never wanted to purchase anything by a certain
artist that QVC hawked for some years, partly because I didn't like his kitch style, and mostly because he pushed his religion as part of the purchase.
On the other hand, yesterday I was at the QVC outlet in Lancaster and scored a top from a certain Hollywood celeb who wears it on her home page.... for $7.89!
In a case like that, I don't care if Bill Cosby designed it!!!!!

Mel Gibson is a great example. I haven't seen a film of his in 6 years.

In general, I feel the need to boycott someone who greatly offends me. But there are a few designers/vendors who, as naive as it sounds, I do feel some amount of loyalty toward, so I would be a bit torn and it would depend on what, precisely, they did.
I will say that, also generally speaking, the very reason I tend to feel connected to certain designers or vendors is that they seem like good people, the type of people I'd be friends with in real life. So, therefore, it seems less likely they'd do something truly heinous, if my people-reading skills are worth anything at all. With the person this thread is obviously inspired by, I can't say I'm at all surprised by the recent scandal, and, therefore, never enjoyed watching her anyway.

I think the way I perceive the item can be sullied if I hear that there has been offensive behavior on their part. Maybe it is subliminal.

I wouldnt buy from someone who thinks so poorly of the people they earn their living from.I hope to support people who have an appreciation for their work.

If you are intent upon only buying from those of whose behavior you approve, are you prepared then to research every company/spokesperson/employee who had anything to do with (and thus profits) from ALL the products you buy?
I didn't think so.
