So, I learned something. I learned not to judge anyone by what we read on social media. (Unless it is posted on their personal account.)
Perhaps when I googled this celebrity, all of those sources (20 of them) could have just been repeating the first unsubstantiated printing. Who knows?

Celebrity clothing lines have always held zero interest for me. I can truthfully say I've never bought a "celebrity product." And that's because the celebrity's name is only on the items because they paid to have it there. They did not "design" anything, even if they claim they did. I evaluate the items based solely on do I like it/would I wear it or not, and I've never seen anything I liked a lot and would wear frequently.
That said, the known, i.e. publicized, behavior of actors, singers, authors, artists, CEOs, and the like DOES (and always has) affect whether or not I buy their items. I don't "research" people and companies, but when some behavior or belief I don't appreciate comes to the public, media-reported eye, I often (though not always) make the choice to drop them off my purchase list. There are cut off your nose to spite your face instances where I continue buying, especially if it's something I need/use often. But then, even back in the 60s I wasn't a universal crusader for truth, justice, etc. My conscience is my own - I don't need to take on everyone else's and they don't need to take on mine.
Regarding the subject of this thread - there are quite a few reading and commenting who either don't know what was said, or refuse to believe what was said. That doesn't make for informed exchange of opinions, IMO.

No problem at all, I understand exactly what you mean.
I only tried to verify it because I would love it if she doesn't return to RHOBH, LOL!

Not only do I shun "celebrity" clothing but I won't even go near celebrity fragrances! Who do they think they're kidding?

@ladyroxanne wrote:the big difference here is joan rivers loved, loved, loved her fans. she was a comedienne first and that did upset the sensibilties of some. it never stopped me from buying from her.
other celebs that show disrespect and disdain for their audience i can do without period.
Good point. I do think Joan could be mean spirited at times, but she did adore her fans. She also was known to be a very good friend and to really go all out for people. Lisa R is totally different. It's all about her.

I don't believe anyone here looks to clebs for moral direction.
My own sense of moral direction tells me it is not logical to support those whose morals I find objectionable, and whose beliefs sometimes work in direct opposition to mine.
Again, your money, your choice.

I KNOW it's my choice, but judging from comments just on this thread alone, some do, not a big deal though.......
