The Person I've seen with the most posts with over 100,000 is Possum mink.
She posted on the Customer Service page to keep boards open. She may very well be the real OG!!! If you go there now, you may find the post.

@chickenbutt wrote:Wow! I didn't even get online until 1999. I'm pretty sure I didn't even know about the internet in 1987. The first I remember about the internet was when my husband had one of those AOL "free" CDs, in the mid-late 90s, and he put it in his desktop computer and told me about it. He said 'this internet is pretty cool'. I said 'I'm not interested'.
HA!
i was thinking the same thing!
got my first computer in 1999 with dial up internet that was so slow. every time the phone rang i would get kicked off of the internet.
not sure i would have had the patience to be on any forums, but i was active on the AOL chatrooms. LOL

On the last day of the boards, the longest running poster should get some type of award. ![]()

I joined in Feb of 2003, I remember I was off of work due to a blizzard, and found the forum sheerly by accident. Been a part of my day ever since.

They would have to figure that one out.
You can't go by quantity of posts.
@Mersha I started posing on Kathy Levine’s Shop Talk. Don’t remember the year.
@proudlyfromNJ Do recall what year that was?

@Pagan wrote:I think that was a typo and she meant 1997. It wouldn't have been 87.
But even 97 a very long time. How sad, it must feel like the end of an era.
You might be correct, it was so many years ago.

@Mersha Unfortunately, no. Possibly early nineties. I think I came across QVC when the company I worked for went out of business and that was 1991.

@deepwaterdotter Was it Shop Talk at that time or a Q board?
It was a Q board. I remember the general knowledge forum was called something like "Current Events and World Views".
I remember current events and world views and then there was a seperate side divided in clothing, jewelry, and items qvc sold. and people would post current topics in the clothing section because they didn't want to cross over to the over side (current events) even though it was all one board. When qvc was on the air 20 years they sent me a silver card saying that I could take 4 people for free anytime for the qvc tour which I never did.
And qvc used to sell a lot of items from sears and you could only get the on air price when it was being sold. qvc started in the fall of 1986 on our local comcast station.
