The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles today as she held a tarantula named 'Charlotte' and met a snake during a trip to Ulster University’s Magee Campus' petting zoo with Prince William during their whirlwind Northern Ireland visit - before showcasing her sporty skills at City of Derry Rugby Club.

She's a brave soul to hold that spider! She represents the royal family so well in all that she does.

@piperbay And they always manage to make it look like they are thrilled to be there. Quite a feat I'm sure on some days. They are doing a very good job of making others feel special--and that's a talent!

I am certain not all of the citizens of Northern Ireland were thrilled that they were there.

Kate sported a plum pantsuit from Emilia Wickstead, one of the Duchess's often worn designers. She accented the purple with navy, wearing a turtleneck top, clutch, and suede pumps all in the deep blue shade.

Will and Kate visited Ulster University's Magee Campus and were given a tour of the university campus during their visit.
They also saw a specially designed simulated ambulance – the only one of its kind in the region – built on campus to train the very first year group on the brand new BSc Hons Paramedic Science programme in Northern Ireland.

It's nice to see them out and about again.
As usual, she looks wonderful.

Away from the text books and practical lessons, Will and Kate learned how the undergraduates relax and spend their free time when they visited the Student Union.
It gave them the opportunity to sample some Northern Irish food and drink, ranging from whiskey and soda bread to Tayto crisps.
