Re: Will Red Box be adversely affected by the virus?

I have a friend and her family that use redbox.  No one in family has a computer, or smartphone.   Her children are, 66, 60, 58.  She is 94.

I kid you not.

They are a simple family that still lives back in the day and happy that way.

None live with my friend. She lives alone, husband passed away last year.

Son lives next door with his wife.  One daughter married and  lives five miles from mom.  Another daughter, single and visits mom every weekend and brings Redbox movies.

The family is close.   They may have found a simpler life.

I didn’t think RedBox was still around very much. Most people use streaming services.

LOL, Redbox on demand  rental movies maybe less than Amazon or HBO.

This market is big enough for everyone.

A simple non tech life is great, but this crisis may move folks to using a smartphone.

I have a doctor's appointment in two weeks. I got a detailed email about the new procedure to come into the office. This medical group will make available tele-medicine appointments in 7 days.

If you live in a rural community, Red box boxes are everywhere (at least a dozen).  I do occasionally use On Demand and we have Prime, Netflix and HBO.

You've listed 4 alternative sources vs an actual disk.

Why would an actual disk use even be an issue right now??

People are funny...

I agreed, I need technology today.  I could not do without my computer, and tablets.

This friend does  not understand what I mean.  They are getting along without it,

I have netflex and prime.  I DVR , you know, all the stuff.

I get lab results from Dr. Order meds , phone appt. With Dr..

They live back in the day and it works for them.

I will call her and tell them to wipe the Redbox disc.

@qvcaddition

Your friend could wear disposable gloves when she goes to get her movies.
