Re: Will Judith price herself out of affordability?

Her Oak Street (Chicago) store closed a couple of years ago. I saw a JR outlet store in Florida. That kind of surprised me

Did I read correctly that she sold her company?

Did she???

Croemer, I think I read on the Jewelry forum that she had.

There were 2.361 results on Ebay for her jewelry. Some of the prices are very reasonable.

I will be checking there in the future. I have found myself buying more and more Victoria Wieck from HSN now.

Here is the link ...{#emotions_dlg.blushing}sorry I don't know how to make it directly. You will have to cut and paste.

I loved some of the Victoria Wieck jewelry from a few years back. Her colored stones set in gold were beautiful. She always had such unique designs. I will have to check her out again.

Hope this works.

I just bought a pair of topaz earrings from Hilary Joy from Hsn...that went from 119.00 to 34.00 and I got 10.00 off what a steal.

Thanks for the link. HSN has some pretty earrings and their prices when they have a sale are wonderful. I wish QVC would follow suit..

I have many of her QVC and couture pieces. I enjoy watching the shows, but her pricing is crazy now. I wait for clearance on QVC stuff, and trunk shows for the couture.

I think I read that with the sale, she is getting out of the couture.

Did anyone else read that?

It wouldn't surprise me if she was getting out of the couture and combining the lines into a hybrid of sorts. The JR boutique that I used to go to closed a few years ago. Which really surprised me because it was a big high visibility store in Aspen right next to Dennis Basso and Joan Boyce.

My husband bought me a JR necklace from that store while traveling on business...went back the next year and they had closed.

Re: Will Judith price herself out of affordability?

I totally agree! I have several pieces, and admire the intricate design work of many, i.e. "The Cuff." The emerald OTO tonight was stunning! But much too much diamonique lately which is priced as if it were a gemstone! And it seems like it is either/or - gemstones which inflate the price and/or labor intensive work with diamonique. I'm not going to buy a gemstone with diamonique that cheapens it - how about a real gemstone like white topaz at least?

I have her necklaces and bracelets with pendents from 10 years ago and some rings and earrings. Excellent quality and beautiful. I cant afford to buy anything now and wont pay high prices for silver with fake stones.

I have asked this question before and none of the Ripkanistas have answered.

Where can you wear the big cuffs with all the Diamonique...or the large pear shaped earrings? I think they are capri's?

Where are those items appropriate? If I wore them to see a client, they would think I went nuts with all that fake stuff on my arm!!!

I was just tempted by some pink mother of pearl earrings. Thankfully, they were a bit too long for me -- saved myself 200 plus dollars.

I have seen many people comment on this Croemer. Her things are so lovely but so pricey for costume jewelry. Even if it is silverplated.

It's not silver plated; it's sterling with a rhodium plating to keep it from tarnishing. The gold is gold-plated sterling.
