I think we in the Southwest have had one, or maybe two, fall days so far while summer hangs on.

@Kachina624  - Here too.  It's been in the mid to high 90's all week here in the Bay Area.  We are not used to that for sure.  I am ready for Fall.

I wish I could send you some nice cool north eastern air!    So sorry you are still having so much hot weather.  Being a New England girl, I just do not deal with heat very well.

DH wanted to check out property in Florida and I asked him who he was taking with him??   (LOL)   I meant it.

I hear you! I live in Silicon Valley and it's dreadful! I don't remember it being this hot in October and I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life.

Yes, it has been record breaking heat. So far October has been behaving more like it's September's evil twin, lol!

@Desertdi.  You probably get the prize as I've heard it's been 110° in Phoenix.  It's a chilly 88° in Albuquerque today.  At least it's been in 50s at night.

@Parischic   I live about a block from the Bay and it has been beastly hot here and as I'm sure you know, living this close to the Bay, most people here don't have AC!  Usually it's hot in Livermore, Pleasanton and one expects that but this close to the Bay - Egads! - not used to it here.  Hoping we all get some relief soon.

If you live in WV, there is no guessing, you "know" winter is coming!  Months of cold, dark days.

Bare apple trees and leaf color are our first signs, getting darker earlier, cooler nights, the appearance of the big brown wood spiders and lots of field mice, the foggy mornings, the actual time change, and the smell of woodsmoke from the chimney make it very clear to us what's coming.  I have no excitement for anything related to fall and winter.
