The past four days we have had pretty heavy rain. There has been lots of thunder and lightning. So I had not noticed the smoke, UNTIL today. Looked at the houses across the street and you can see the haze.

Can not believe the wild fires are still burning.

@meallen616

If you’d just take up smoking the wildfire smoke wouldn’t affect you at all.  ; )

You’re welcome and glad I could help.

I can't help but wonder if this was arson. Some Canadians are also

thinking this.

I can feel your pain---I live in WA state and last year, it was horrendous--- for many days in Oct. the skies were a dirty yellow. We stayed inside and  wore masks outside. And it was hot and sticky!! also noticed how many dogs were still being walked--I know, I know---dogs gotta poop --but still, isn't good for any form of life----I did find out that my portable A/C does filter the smoke particles--that was a pleasant surprise.

@sunshine45   While unhealthy that's a beautiful photo.  I just ran home real quick from work for my lunchtime and yeah, while we can't smell it here in SE MD I see that it is a code red.  I'm not at the beach but inland...looks more ominous at the coast.

There's an air quality alert in Eastern Iowa too.  I can usually see for miles in this area...not lately. You see it, smell it, your eyes water & your lungs feel scratchy.  What a mess!

I learned that the fires in Canada were deliberately set.  Set all at one time.  Caught the guy resjponsible too.
