It's freaking winter in Pa.
This looks so out of place.
There's still snow on the ground in places!Guess what....... not all QVC viewers live where it snows and many of us have nice warm temps where we live and we're looking forward to picking up our spring/summer wardrobes.
I realize that, but she lives and works in PA and it's winter here and cold!! In the summer she'll be wearing cardigans!
But they're SELLING spring/summer fashion, so they're wearing it.
I'm very cold natured and I always carry a long sleeve shirt in the summer when I go into stores, groceries, restaurants, etc., 'cause the A/C is too cold for me.
So yep....I'm that weird lady in the frozen section, wearing a jacket in the summer, LOL!
SO AM I!!

If QVC didn't want her dressed like that, she would not be on the air dressed like that.
Most of the women reporters and spokeswomen I see are dressed like that.
I think it's silly during winter, but that's what's wanted of them. Don't blame Shawn.

I've never seen any news women in tube tops.

seriously Noel, I don't think QVC asks her to wear tube tops, and strapless clothing. I think she does it herself, and no one says anything. Look, we all are talking about her days after the fact, LOL! I think it is silly to dress like that on TV during the day, on a regular show, in the dead of winter. She does live around PA, it is cold and snowing there. But what do I know?. My personal opinion is, someone with a little better style sense would wear something more season appropriate, that is a knock out. I really don't watch QVC, and have only seen her present once.I think she is cute and had interesting clothes. I do peek in at photos and videos when people complain though. Guilty here. Usually, I like what she wears that is a little odd. But it makes me cold and I feel uncomfortable when it is cold outside, and I see news people or anyone on TV dressed for the beach. I kind of get shivers, haha, I don't even own a coat or a jacket though.
Noel, do you think we will get rain next weeK?. I hope so!! Whee is Mr. El Nino??? WHERE??? This heat wave is freakin my fruit trees out. It has been in the 90's in SoCal my GD says

Why do people keep saying she was wearing a "tube top"? It's a strapless dress.

I really can't quite figure out Shawn's style aesthetic. Its a bit rock'n'rock, a tad bit German runway model from the 90s, and more than a bit witchy-mama.
I really say that most objectively as I really can't point to anything fresh or modern (or even as a throwback) which might be her influence.
Its like she's trying to be sort of Grammy Awards - as one of Cher's entourage in 1991.
The hair is straight out of a Lulu sings "To Sir with Love", but with a more punk suburban mom twist to it.
Her high heel boots, I swear, are straight out of the movie, "Hocus Pocus",
Her style, in my opinion, has verged too far away from fashion and into something more costumery. How she can go to the supermarket dressed like she's about to take the mic away from Stevie Nicks I do not know.
But its a free country and so its fine for her to be who she is (whomever that is).
What I find fascinating is that people used to knock Lisa Robertson for never dressing in Q fashions of a Q fashion style. Maybe Shawn has hobbled together pieces available on QVC...but I sure never see them or see them out together in such a cauldron-strirring, electric guitar picking, gotta-pick-up-the-kids-after-school sort of a way.

Hi shoekitty,
QVC is big business. I don't believe they are going to overlook anything they don't like. They're not sloppy like that.
Keep your eye on the new night time ABC anchorwoman. I don't think I've seen her in anything but sleeveless for as long as she has been with us, and I am talking about when our area weather was in the 30s and 40s a couple of weeks ago. And let me include several of the weather reporting women.
It's not my style, but it's what's popular on TV.
Speaking of weather reporters, Sandyha has said El Nino is weakening, and she's not happy about it. Not good for us. And the new temps are scary, what the heck does this mean for summer? ![]()

The QVC building is jammed with clothing. I am sure that if they did not approve of what she was wearing, they would have told her to change outfits, and fast.
