Deluge of synthetic material
Poor quality
Inconsistent Sizing

For whatever reason that I don't know, I don't think that sales have been down. Seems to me that many items have been selling or selling out. Especially Fashions.
Could be, though, as someone else here posted, the difference between heavy Christmas/Holiday shopping and later on / now could be the reason why sales appear to be 'down' (in comparison).
Wishing the Q and other companies the best.

Truthfully, I don't spend any time thinking about this.

If true, it's probably a good tax write-off.
Again, wishing the Q and other companies and consumers / all people well.

IMO, QVC and the other shopping channels are obsolete. Unless they change their selling tactics and procedures, my prediction is that they will all be gone within 5 years.

I think it's probably all these reasons.
They just haven't kept up. Other extremely large retailers are able to provide such better customer service, shipping included, fast shipping, etc. QVC seems to still be living in the 90s, IMO.
I'm not saying I hate them or anything. But, there are just so many great choices now, both in price and service. The worst part for me is that you know that you won't usually receive your order any time soon, except for perishable (frozen type) food items.
Now, I see that the prices on said food items have really gone up like crazy. Some of the stuff I've bought over the years I don't think I could purchase, in good conscience, anymore. I know that convenience is costly, and food items were never cheap, but they've gone up exponentially in many cases.

For me I stopped cold after the post office lost yet another package. I think it's three years running now. Not QVC's fault but unless it can fit in the mailbox, I won't order from anyone except Amazon. They're the only ones I trust to deliver an actual box.

I think making judgments on one business unless you have comparisons for comparable businesses really tells very little.
Assuming QVC's results are significantly different from those comparable businesses, you can start to make judgments.
i do not invest in QVC-type retail, so I don't even know the companies analysts compare them to. That would be my first step if I wanted to make a judgment.
Aside from my own drastically decreased buying, I do know Amazon, Walmart, and Target have sucked up a huge percentage of American shopping dollars. Their sizes alone shut out the smaller companies and let them negotiate contracts the smaller companies cannot.

I agree with another poster on here who said an abundance of polyester clothing, high prices, lack of quality in clothing. Also, return shipping labels really hurt the consumer. My own personal pet peeve is the slow processing, items that are "in process ", that seem to take forever to even get shipped. The lack of updating our account status is frustrating. Shipping costs....and who needs 1000 pair of pajamas, joggers, or hoodies?

Laughing hysterically at the "where did you get this information"!
