Why do men spit so much??!

This may seem like an odd topic but I just wanted to share my dislike of men spitting in parking lots as they walk into a store. I find myself having to veer left and right trying to miss the big wads of goo they leave behind. It's disgusting. I don't have to spit for any reason. I wonder why they do this? Please stop.
