Why do men need so many wires??

DH was doing some....er....cleaning out (I guess you might call it) yesterday and about had me going bonkers. He had an entire box, the size box that you purchase multiple reams of computer paper from office supply stores, filled with every kind of cable and adaptor anyone could think of. IMO, there is no reason for any one person to need or have this many cables/adaptors/wires.

I have three cables. That's all I need, that's all I want:

One for my laptop, another for my phone and the last for my Nook.

Is my DH unique, she asked tongue in cheek? (LOL)
