Why do Q customers get offended when they receive "the letter" from the Q?

If you are returning too many times I would think you would appreciate receiving a letter letting you know how much you are returning. Unless the item is defective it's you, the customer, who pays the return postage. At $6+ to return one item that ain't cheap. It's money down the toilet.
