Why are some of my Amazon Prime shipments taking so long?

These are from outside shippers, but some of this stuff is taking two weeks.  Don't they have an agreement with Amazon to prioritize Prime shipments?

Could your orders be coming from outside of the country?

Nope.  You have to look at the terms of the item.

Prime shipping isn't as fast as it use to be.  I often get a delay email stating my item has a new arrival date; usually it's a day or two later than the original arrival date.

Not everything on Amazon is available for Prime shipping.  You have to check the item.  However, Prime shipping also is no longer 2-3 days.  I rarely get things any quicker than 5 days, especially since they started using USPS for delivery.  That usually adds a day or two.

No such agreement exists with outside Amazon vendors, especially if they are out of country.  However, it is never a secret.  When you complete the order, they always tell you approximately how long it will take to ship.  That gives you more than enough time to cancel.

Yes, unfortunately, Prime shipping is not always Prime shipping. True about overseas vendors.

Are you aware that  Amazon wants to reduce the number of Prime shipments to leave a smaller footprint. That's right. You can select to have all your shipments done on one day--which defeats the purpose of Prime Shipping. However, if you have a bunch of stuff shipping, it might make life easier if you can arrange to have it all come when someone's around.

Have you tried asking Amazon customer service?

If they are coming from other states, many are having very bad weather conditions.
