They come here to share ideas and learn. To allow that dribble, and eliminate posts which are effective and helpful is insulting and displays lack of competence. You're going to lose more good customers by carelessly eliminating intelligent posts, than you will by eliminating the bigots and morons who troll the boards and pollute positive threads with their raucous muck.

PetrDM, My home is not full of argumentative talks. The socials and clubs that I am a memeber are not argumentative in any way.
So why in the heck would I come to a forum to argue with strangers? I would leave this forum, and return to a peaceful life.
About time QVC is handling all the insane fights in the forum.
Your home, socials, and clubs that you visit are not anonymous.

Seriously, did a moderator actually tell someone to start a new post on the movieGhostbusters that focused less on religion? If that is the case, I think myQVC shopping experiences are over. When they have a heading for movies, any movies should be able to be discussed including Ben-Hur and the Ten Commandments. This is an art form we are discussing andQVC has made a big misstep in my opinion.
yep. That is what I was told in the comments - that I couldn't quote from the movie if the quotes had any whiff of religious implications.
I wonder if we can discuss made up "religions", like the Force, when the new Star Wars movies come out. I use that term, because in the first star wars, this quote was said:
Admiral Motti: Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you enough clairvoyance to find the rebels' hidden fortress... [Vader makes a pinching motion and Motti starts choking] Darth Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Oh sure, let's have the entire dictionary and encyclopedia listed! What a big help that would be for us, as we can't talk about anything fun or interesting enymore.

I agree completely as well.
My non-religious, non-political general question about social etiquette and terminology was almost immediately deleted without explanation today.
When I then posted a second thread asking why such a thing was deleted...and without explanation, THAT POST TOO was immediately deleted without explanation. lol
I mean, come on. People are going out their way to be civil and to discuss certain matters on a social, non-controversial level and the posts are IMMEDIATELY deleted??
And again with zero expanation either publicly or privately?
How can one even ask the moderators anything if they DELETE the inquiry???
