I've noticed that they ask the models their height and what size they are wearing. IMHO the size you wear is based on weight but I assume they don't want to start asking the models their weight. One of the models said she's 5'6" and was wearing a xs. I'm 5'6" and am far from an extra small. To me, it's annoyingly that they "pretend" that height size will help figure out clothing size. Today the model wearing the cappuccino looks bad because she's in a jacket that has to be 2 sizes too small.

I think you might be right. I had to laugh at the host who was on this morning. Horrors!! She wears an XS and she had to put on the S chenille sweater, which was relaxed on her but with jeans it looked good. You could hear the pain in her voice....lol She couldn't stop saying she wears an XS about why she was wearing a S. It pained her so that someone might think that she was so big she actually wore a big old size....S...lol Bizarre. But, I've never been small so perhaps I don't get the obsession with being the tiniest woman in the room.

I've been asking that question for a few years now. Obviously, the issue is not that the clothing is too large! Too tight on the models and too tight on some of the hosts most of the time.

I just turned on the Q briefly and saw MaryD in the jacket. She clearly needed a larger size. Why do they do that???????

I just tuned in to watch based on this thread and IMHO...EVERYONE on air right now looks horrible in this jacket. Holy Moly it's not flattering. And Mary....who told her she looked good in the outfit she's wearing plus the zipped up jacket.
No. Just.....no.

Thinking it is not going to look good or fit anyone. If they cannot make it work I doubt I would be able to.
I am not liking the jacket anyway even if it fit right. Not my style or fabric.

Jill just like Lisa R before her leans towards skin tight fitting clothes. So tight they look like they will have to remain upright all day as sitting wouldn't be within the realm of possibility without busting out some seams. Mary should never have turned around to show us the back of hers.

I think it's a combination of bad stylists and vanity. Last night, G.I.L.I. Jill looked horrible in hers. She has a great figure but the jacket made her chest area look awful. Pretty Jackie looked like the red had been spray-painted on. The host this morning who I happen to really like, ALWAYS stresses she is xxs. I'm a 1x-2x but this thing wouldn't fit me if it was a 6x. Plus 2 layers of ruffled faux leather on my hips--just don't think so. But it would probably bring a smile to many people if I put this thing on.

I have often wondered the same thing...why are the clothes shown on models and hosts too tight?? I have always thought they all had stylists. If the person wearing the item doesn't see the 'poor fit', then surely the stylists see it and should change the size. An ill fitting item does not help sell the product!!!
