Re: Why are customers not getting same % off as QVC Credit Cards do?

I have a Kohl's card. I shop and use it solely when they offer me a coupon of 30% to 40% percent off ( though their excluded items are become more plentiful.)

I have a Target Red card. They offere me 5% off my entire purchase at Target. If I'm not mistaken I get free shipping.

Just two examples of store cards that offer benefits over those not using one.

I have zero use or interest in a QVC or HSN card. I understand how some are attracted to Easy Pay, but it holds no allure for me. I use one payment, then pay each of my bills in full. I don't shop beyond my means. Some find perks or benefits in using a Q card, and I would never begrudge them that. We should all shop and spend where and what works for us.

If we do not have a Q-Card we do not get % off if we use another credit card? We buy just as much if not more than others.

I have been a customer for over 30 years and hardly ever get an incentive to use my own other credit card.

I buy a lot from QVC and HSN and they both do that. Entering a credit card of my own choice doesn't count.

I know there are promotions to get the QVC/HSN cards but I have one card I use and that is enough.

I am sure others feel the same.

I definitely don't feel the same.  I have retailer credit cards for exactly that reason--extra perks, free shipping, member exclusive promos, etc.  Retail has been that way since he first "charge cards" came out.  As others have said, use the card that gives you the best deal for you.

I totally agree and it really ticks me off.  I've been a QVC customer for over 35 years and a very good one but I absolutely refuse to use their HIGH INTEREST Q CARD when don't have to.  I have credit cards,  I have debit cards that serve as cash.   I won't be pushed into a card just for discounts and whatever.   I'm sure thousands upon thousands of us feel similarly but QVC doesn't care because they have us.  We're shopping.  We grumble but we aren't going anywhere.

I just heard that Nordstroms now charges THIRTY PERCENT INTEREST on their credit cards!!!

Just who, exactly, is that benefitting?

I don't have any retailer credit cards.  IMO, there's no actual upside to having them.

I use my cash back or air milage cards and feel I benefit more from that over time.

Also use the Talbots premium card for special deals and free shipping.

I don't feel the same.  It's the terms of the promotion.  Period.  If I don't want a Qcard, I don't get the deal.  You don't want a Qcard, so be it, but you aren't entitled to the deal either.  QVC/HSN can operate their business and discount programs however they choose.

Macys is the same. I don't have a macys card, and I just accept it. Used to tick me off big time.

I have a Q card and I appreciate the incentives.  Lands End's card offers free shipping no matter how little you spend.  Different retailers offer different incentives.

Between retail card incentives, cash back credit cards, and cash back on Rakuten (and others),  we can all benefit somehow.

IMO, you're not missing much. Q's offers are usually limited to $15 or $20 which doesn't motivate me to shop. I can find much better promotions at other retailers.
