I don't really "get it" either. I would prefer they take the GOBS of money that they spend and give us a shipping break or something. Seems to me, it's more of a perk for the hosts and staff and they try to disguise it as a treat for the viewer.

Hi PurpleBunny. That's exactly right. I bet this Oscar Red Carpet will go by the wayside like the "NY Fashion" week did a few years ago.

Now I love the Italy shows....but here lately, you don't really get to see much except a castle in the background.

If anyone wants "Hollywood glamour", why wouldn't they be watching Hollywood instead.

I know I am Sunday night when the actual Oscars are on. This other stuff they are presenting you can check it out on line. They don't even have actresses/actors there at the Red Carpet Gala the Q is presenting. Just vendors.
