He handed her something again reminiscent of McCain's funeral. She gave him a big smile.

I read he handed her candy - just like he did at Senator McCain's funeral.  Love that.

Is it ok to talk about that? I hope so. He says she gets his needling jokes and personality and is ok with it. She says she likes him too.

I'm sure it is @Greeneyedlady21.

They are an unlikely but absolutely charming pair of buddies. That's why she is my favorite FLOTUS ever. 😁

@Ms tyrion2 I wanted to say how I feel about her but I thought for sure it's forbidden. But ditto.

What I have watched the last couple days re: 41 George Herbert Walker Bush and what I have experienced has been touching and beautiful.....He was a wonderful VP to a great 40 and he was a great 41. Had a hard time keeping myself together for obvious reasons. I do not know how W was able to eulogize his dad. I especially loved Alan Simpson's eulogy. As a native Washingtonion I know the scenery and all the landmarks well, just so lovely, the Capital, Andrews and the magnificent National Cathedral. Rest in Peace, George Herbert Walker Bush, an honorable man and patriot who will be missed!

It was a touching, moving tribute to 41.  A loving family for sure.  It was so nice to see warmth and kindness coming from Washington today.  Forgetting all the problems and celebrating the life of this man.

W has done a lot behind the scenes for veterans without making it public. That is the heart of a true serviceman.

A humble and dignified man. What a wonderful send off he had.

Yes, he was a humble man with lots of character.  I always thought Jimmy Carter was, too.  Caring people.

This is true of W as well as the current president.  I admire both of them for this.
