You nailed it when you said Power Grid. It's been known for decades now that most Power Grids are sorely lacking, and need major updating. With all the newer technology dependent on them, yet there they sit "yesteryear equipped".

And with all the talk of upgrading technology and little to nothing said about Power Grids?

The worst is yet to come. Why? Will pass on that answer.

What we found out in our City here in South Texas with the February 2022 Artic Storm is our Energy Company failed to update and weatherize our system. ..There were funds allocated too but the local utility company instead used the money to give themselves bonuses..We went several weeks without both power and water which caused the citizens of our City as well as City Council to get to the bottom of what happened with many  public hearings and a thorough investigation! Those in charge of the electric grid felt our wrath..Many resigned and/or fired both locally and at the Ercot Distribution Center.

Improvements were made but many more are still needed, but we got through this recent December Artic Storm with power and water! People speaking up made the difference  but loss of life, and extensive damage due to burst pipes to homes and businesses was a very costly lesson indeed

And let's add more and more electric cars to the grid and an already strained, outdated and undeserved system.....no common sense....and this situation will only get worse
