LOL. Well, I'm an English major and an English teacher of 30 years, so it stands to reason that I enjoy writing and expressing my views. I also enjoy hearing from people of all backgrounds and ages, which you certainly get here. I like that this board has standards, unlike some other chat boards that are out of control. Once in a while, you communicate with someone with whom you find a kindred spirit. They are not many, but there have been some here that I have connected with beyond the board. One of them passed away a few years ago, and I spoke to her from the hospital a week before she passed. When her daughter in law contacted me to tell me, I almost felt I had lost a member of my family. We were connected by our Scottish roots, but it was so much more. Like others, I have also learned a lot from people on this board. So hey, thanks everybody.

I like it becase this is the only social media I participate in---no facebook or twitter or any of the others. I found a specific board that helped me out and that I still join in. There is enough diversity of topics that keep me interested and I find the topics not allowed---ie politics especially , is great---enough of that stuff elsewhere. Occassionally there are a few people who feel the need to reprimand comments, not the mods, of course ---  but you can block those small minded, mean ones. As with everything to do with the cyber space, you need to be very mindful of what you put out. I have met some very nice people too-----works for my needs!!!

I have gotten some good advice. Also, you never know what you are gonna get, its kinda like a box of cracker jacks. I do enjoy this board. I think there are a lot of sweet, knowledgeable people on here.

There is just something very special about this forum. It kind of has a life and personality of its own thanks to all the wonderful people who share and discuss topics.

I enjoy learning from other posters, hearing of their interests, seeing what they post, being able to express thoughts and opinions about things that come up here and also checking in with some of my long-time cronies. I do wish the forums worked more seamlessly, with fewer glitches. I also fully and unabashedly admit I preferred the option of the wider range of subject matter, more latitude in posting and the greater number of posters to bounce things around with that was the norm before the forums were moderated to within an inch of their life...

I enjoy the give and take on the boards. Sometimes I'll ask for advice, sometimes I offer advice. I'm not tech savvy when I ask a question people are very kind and nonjudgmental. Most everyone is kind and respectful on the boards, almost like friends.

This is a very unique board.  I have been here a LONG time and have seen things bob, weave and change over the years.

It is fascinating to get other opinions on issues from those living all over the country that might have a different perspective from myself.

I have learned many things here, including some wonderful recipes than were thoroughly enjoyed.

But, most of all, I will never forget late one night after we had to put down our Golden Retriever.  I was feeling awful so decided to come here and write some of my feelings.

People were so kind to send so many heartfelt and thoughtful responses that were so appreciated and helpful.

I truly enjoy the wonderful people that post here.

I really enjoy the forum.

I have learned much about beauty products, what is for sale, what is not a good buy.

I enjoy the friendship I have built amoung the posters. We may have never met but they are the friends I don't have where I live. I can tell my deepest problems and they don't judge, they listen and don't accuse me of anything, they try to help, they give me that shoulder to lean on when some days are so hard to keep moving forward.
