Meaning, she proclaimed that she never got sick and was in perfect health because of her diet, and that her diet prevented all illnesses, and that she would never get sick because of her diet. According to her, all illnesses would be wiped off the face of the earth, if everyone followed her diet. Illnesses and diseases would no longer exist.
If I am going to be perfectly honest, I really don't miss her posts because she basically accused people that it was their own fault for being sick because they didn't follow her way of eating. That they brought their illnesses on themselves, because they didn't eat the way that she did.
That was just downright cruel.
Just an aside. Sidsmom had a lot on her plate. Her mom had Alzheimer's so she was very fearful of diet being the cause. I think she really believed I was killing myself eating meat and fat and was trying the tough love approach. I just don't think she was aware of how hurtful her posts could be @Anonymous032819 .

@Anonymous032819 , Phoenix bird was a really sweet, caring poster here that just happened to eat a plant based diet. I hope she's OK. I miss her posts..
Thank you for realigning my memory. As I said, I can't remember the name, and that name just popped into my head. 😊

Both.
Well, I can't speak for folks on the forums cause I don't know them. However, in other situations where it could be a family member, close friend, neighbor or something the reasons why are not always clear.
For instance, if my sister asked me for my opinion about a situation and I told her what I thought she could do, she might agree that it is the proper course of action. Doesn't mean she'll carry it out, though. She may get "mad" because she knew whe was right and should have gone with her gut feeling and my advice (being equal here). So many situations and too many variables. This is particularly true when you know the person.

I get that, I do, but a lot of us have a lot on our plates, but we don't go around accusing other people for bringing in their own bad health.
There is a right way and a wrong way to get people to change their diet.
The right way is to say, "Hey, this worked for me. Give it a try, and maybe it will work for you".
The wrong way is to blame people and to say that it is their own fault for being sick, and that they brought it on themselves, because they didn't eat a certain way, and to make claims that all illnesses and diseases can be avoided by following a certain diet.
But, now that I've said my viewpoint, I am going to let it go, because in the grand scheme of things, it's really neither here nor there. 😊

SIDSmom overstepped her bounds and probably did more harm than good trying to convince and pressure people about her way of eating that it turned into shaming. When Susan Lucci had her heart attack, the first thing she posted was it wouldn't have happened if she had been eating a plant based diet. She was offensive.

Being a Type 1 diabetic I have had ignorant people tell me to go on so and so diet and my diabetes will go away. I fume inwardly while smiling. All the jokes about this will give you diabetes or you eat that and you'll go into a diabetic coma. Not to mention every single show with a Type 1 in it gives the person insulin when they are having a severe low blood sugar incident. That would kill a diabetic but hey they can't bother to learn the facts before showing that.

No it was not "phoenixbird", as @Trinity told me it was "Sidsmom". I found "phoenixbird" very friendly and knowledgeable. I think she ate/eats plant based nutrition.

Sometimes it's not a matter of a poster being mad about the advice, it's the manner in which that advice is given.
There are always posters who can't just give advice. They have to embellish the story with maybes and what-ifs, they become accustory toward the OP, or they lend their advice in such a manner as to make it seem like it's the only solution to the situation and anything else is just ridiculous. Often times they make the OP feel foolish, small or petty.
We see it time and time again. And they can't just give their advice. They have to then argue with every other poster who has different advice.

Can we please not turn this thread into talking about another poster behind her back, for lack of a better term? These types of threads have a habit of doing that and I think it's in really poor taste to do that.
That poster lived in Texas. I hope she is okay.

She last posted on 4/2/2020, but last visited on 1/6/21, according to her history page, so hopefully, she's doing well.
