Why Are We Getting a New Community Site?????

Color me pessimistic, but I wonder why we're getting a new community site. Do we all have to re-register and get new nicknames? Are they going to start putting current posts first (I hope)? There's got to be a "reason" that the Q is spending time and money re-doing something that wasn't "broke" IMHO. I think the PTB would find it more lucrative to refine their search engine to make it more user friendly and efficient! I guess we'll find out soon. . .
