@mspatmac wrote:The man who ran on the field during last Monday Night football with the smoke bomb and was tackled by a player is suing!!!!! The player said he had no idea what the guy had in his hands and just reacted. To me it was a possible threat and in this day and age could have been a real bomb.
I didn't read the age of the latest one, but I doubt it was a young child. Does anyone have further information?
The report I appended here as a link indicates it was a child. For all intents and purposes that could be any age between 5-17 years of age @mspatmac It was a child, but no mention of how old he was. In addition, this particular incident was not captured on tape like the first incident.

@Icegoddess wrote:The first one was an activist of some sort. They want attention. When I was young it became common for people to run onto fields with no clothes on. They were called streakers.
I agree @Icegoddess . It does in fact happen more than is talked about.

This is the new tactic used by activists to bring attention to their "causes" like Green Energy and Climate Change. During the NBA Playoffs last year in Minnesota and Milwaukee there were people who ran on the court and people who tried to handcuff themselves to the basket supports. There was just a news story (with film footage) of
a group in London who went into a supermarket and gathered a lot of bottles of milk and proceded to twirl and pour out the milk onto the supermarket floor. These were the Gen Z warriors who decided that this was the most effective way to draw attention to the problems of the planet. Meanwhile, as the cost of food skyrockets and people are going to bed hungry, these geniuses are destroying food and private property.
There were activists about a year ago in Boston who sat in the middle of a highway and blocked traffic. The standoff lasted for hours. I would have had the snowplow trucks push them out of the way.

I think anyone who runs out onto the field like that should be fined. I read that nothing is going to happen to this person or "child". I don't care if they are a child they should still pay in some way for the consequences of their actions.

When raised without manners or respect for anything but oneself, it causes all sorts of issues down the road, or in this case, the ball field.

@gertrudecloset There is video of this kid on the field. He looks to be around 14 or 15. Google search kid tackled at Bucs game if you're interested.

TAMPA, Fla. — A boy ran onto the field and was tackled hard by a security guard in the second quarter of Tampa Bay’s game against Atlanta on Sunday.
A woman who identified herself as the child’s mother told The Associated Press the boy is 10 years old. A police officer later told the AP the boy is older than 10, but he couldn’t release his information because he’s a juvenile. The officer said the mother has several children and was confused about which one jumped onto the field.
Tampa Police Department spokesperson Eddy Durkin said the boy was issued a civil citation and given a notice to appear in court.
The incident occurred while the Buccaneers were lining up for an extra point after Leonard Fournette’s 1-yard touchdown run gave them a 6-0 lead.
