Now to add to The View and The Talk, coming soon - or maybe it started already - we have The Real. 'Real' original.

The first season of The Talk was a lot more like The View, but they toned it down, for some reason.

Saw the Real a few times last summer - Guess they're looking for a younger demographic.

Whoopi is pretty arrogant to think she can "dis" the woman who has kept her employed for many years....she should apologize but I can't imagine Whoopi ever apologizing to anyone for any reason. I think the show is way past its prime and needs to end. I certainly won't be watching. Too much anger

Well, you are obviously assuming that Whoopi actually said those things ...... I don't think so. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Whoppi is a smart, mature gal that knows how things work ..... and she'd settle her differences behind closed doors. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I'm not a fan of gossip or the rumor mill. Who knows what's true or not? I sometimes enjoy watching The View and never could get interested in The Talk. I hope The View can return with a look and attitude more like their original shows -- the ones that put them on the map, got everyone's interest, kept their ratings high, and gave rise to other similar shows.

One show I'm looking forward to:

I saw a promo on tv last week for a new Meredith Viera show. I like her.Smile

I'll definitely give Meredith's show a chance.

Me too. I always liked Meredith and was sorry when she left. It isn't really even The View anymore with all the different co-hosts every day. There are no regulars anymore and the rest of the month will be repeats anyway. They take more time off than any other show. Fridays are always pre-recorded shows, so no hot topics and then there's Jeffrey...... I used to like Sherri but not anymore. I do follow her on Twitter though because she tells everything that's on her mind. She shows a lot of pictures too.

I read Thursday was the last day for Sherri and Jenny. A big deal was made about the fact Whoopi was not present for their final show.

Did they say why she wasn't there?

Do you remember which show it was where they made a big deal out of whoopi not being there??? I'd like to go back and retrieve it. It should be interesting.

TIA

Here is what was supposedly said

"After the taping ... Whoopi -- in front of producers and several potential replacement hosts -- said she'd been "working with a cranky 85-year-old woman who's mad about everything for 2 years, and I need a break."

Now come on, Whoopi has always had a tough outspoken sense of humor and I can very well imagine this was said in jest. I'd be willing to bet that Barbara would (and probably has) laugh about it.
We can see it here daily how people's perception of humor differs and the same is true for reporters for places like TMZ. One persons joke is another persons dis.
