I never eat the instant oatmeals! Too much sodium and the flavored ones have a ton of un-needed sugar! I make my own and bring it in a microwaveable bowl.

The weight control version has only 23 net carbs and 290 mg of sodium. The high fiber version has 24 net carbs and 210 mg of sodium. In addition, oatmeal is very low on the glycemic index.

To each their own. Not everyone has the time, either at home or at work, to fix and eat the meals of their choice - or the facilities at work.

@Desertdi

lol

child proof tops and those, are the called clam shells? are another whole new nightmare!

It's rather ridiculous that a whole new industry has been created for the purpose of opening our 'convenience' products!

Just for the sake of discussion.

Regular Quaker instant (no flavorings or sugar) has 75 mg of Na. Great Value (no flavorings or sugar) has 80 mg. Better Oats Steel Cut has 105 mg (no flavorings or sugar).

I use the Better Oats Steel Cut. It requires 3/4 cup water. The Great Value brand uses 1/2 cup water. Didn't check the Quaker requirement.

I use a clear plastic measuring cup for laundry liquids. I feel that the directions encourage you to use more than what is needed.

I don't like following rules so I just pour in the soap willy nilly and let it fly? Smiley Wink

My pet design stupidity are toilet stalls in public restrooms. Some of them you have to straddle the john to open or close the door. Totally ridiculous and annoying.
