Viggo Mortensen - probably best known to most as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings, although he's made several other excellent movies.  One of my favorite actors, and not just for eye candy!

Mostly, it's a matter of personal taste, isn't it? Some of those mentioned on this thread are not attractive to me at all. I also find it amusing that some folks choosing actors from previous generations think their choices are so much "more" than currently popular actors. I don't think so, in every case. Cary Grant and Paul Newman were handsome (and talented), but really, no more so than Bradley Cooper and George Clooney are to many of us.
