Certainly not in SoCal, we're expecting temps to reach 80 degrees on Thanksgiving Day, sheesh!

We've been getting snow all week in NW Ohio.  Just a dusting here and there.  Enough to show on the roofs and lightly on the ground.

Such gloomy days.........Yesterday I closed all my drapes and turned on lights so I didn't have to look at the gloom.  Not good on the electric bill, tho.

Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota have enough snow for the season, IMO. I can handle the cold but hate snow and ice.

It's 9 degrees here this morning. It's also the first time in 8 days that we've had sunshine. The January seasonal affective disorder (SAD) was starting to set in without it.

My thermostat is set at 66 due to the rising costs. I just put on extra clothes.

So lovely to look at all the pics and so very thankful I don't live where it snows anymore!

@Kachina624 We usually eat and drink it. Milk and eggs that is. Our driveway is long and difficult to navigate. We also live waaaaay back in the woods,so we do prepare for winter storms. How do we prepare:

FREEZERS HAVE FOOD

MEDS

SNOW MELTING STUFF (PET SAFE)

JEEP HAS PLOW ON IT

SNOWBLOWER READY TO GO

WOOD FOR THE FURNACE

BOOKS TO READ (WE HAVE PLENTY OF THOSE)

MOVIES TO WATCH

We didn't know that we would have this much snow, just ran those errands cuz we were out.

@Group 5 minus 1    What, no generator?  They seem to be the household toy of the century.

I'm just glad I live where it looks pretty but evaporates by noon.

@SoCal Bred    That was winter holidays when I lived in Houston.  No thanks, I hated it!  Will never do that again.

@Group 5 minus 1    Okay, it sounds like you're all set to hibernate then.  Stay warm and safe.

@Bird mama  Where are you?  Aren't you right in the bullseye of this storm?  I hope you're hunkered down with the babies all safe and warm.
