@yellowBeetle  good luck to the monks. If I could stand to eat the stuff, I would get mine from a monastery

I like fruitcake.  They are great if you are in need of a brick.

Don’t like fruitcake, but I used to love the “hard sauce” my mother made to go on top.

So funny, fruitcake tastes like stale cake, Hate it and also add in the hot cross buns with the same diried fruit too. Enjoy if you like it for me no way.

Re: Who likes fruitcake?

[ Edited ]

'Funny', I just noticed an email from the Martha Stewart website/newsletter.  Something about Martha's Best and featuring fruitcake recipes.  I haven't yet opened the email.  'Tuned' into my computer late today.   ........... P.S.  I have two frozen fruitcakes left in my freezer.  I think I'll cut a couple of thick slices and let them soak in brandy-soaked , and also sherry-soaked cheese cloth for a couple of days.   Just to see what happens, how they taste.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
